Hippy, also known as Justin Ramirez, is a Los Angeles–based music producer and recording/mix engineer who approaches every project with an artist-focused mindset, driven by a passion for creating immersive and emotionally authentic music.

Originally from Portland, he began his career as a performing artist, spending over a decade writing and recording music. His early work grew from bedroom studios and local venues into larger stages, including opening for Snoop Dogg, performing at SXSW, and completing a regional tour as a headlining artist. These experiences sparked a deeper interest in how records are shaped, refined, and brought to life, naturally leading him to transition into engineering and production.

Hippy has been mixing for over 5 years and producing for several, beginning during the COVID era while working on his own music — a process that quickly expanded into mixing and production work for other artists. His work spans hip-hop, R&B, and pop, with independent collaborations including Dyve, Jake Angel, Bleary, Scotty Apollo, and Jalen Santoy.

Fluent in modern DAWs and professional studio workflows, his skill set includes vocal production, editing, mixing, and session direction. Drawing from his background as a former artist, Hippy brings an intuitive, collaborative approach to help both aspiring and established artists to translate abstract ideas into cohesive, polished records. He continues to refine his craft while building a body of work rooted in intention, balance, and musical authenticity.
